Saving

Saving your scenes

Save a scene with your model, sky, camera, materials and every setting, and come back to it exactly as you left it, here or on another computer.

Save a scene

A render is more than a model: it's the sky you chose, the angle you found, the color you gave the rum and the look you graded it with. Save scene keeps all of it together.

  1. Open the Scene tab.
  2. Under Your scenes, press Save scene.
  3. Give it a name, then press Save or Enter.

Your scene appears as a card with a small picture of the render, so you can find it again at a glance. The scene you have open has a ring around it.

What a scene keeps

KeptIncluding
Your modelThe model file you imported, with its textures, or which built-in scene you used
The skyThe sky, studio look or HDRI, sun height, rotation, intensity and tint
The cameraThe exact view, lens, focus and aperture, turn and tilt
MaterialsEvery index of refraction, color and depth you changed
FinishingExposure, look, white balance, glow, glare, bounces, caustics and Stop at

Open, update and tidy up

  • Open a scene by clicking it under Your scenes, or from the scene picker at the top left of the render. Everything is put back as it was, including a model you imported, and the render starts by itself.
  • Save changes to the scene you have open from the ⋯ menu beside it.
  • Rename or Delete a scene from the same menu. Deleting asks once before it removes anything.

Batch render

Render several saved scenes, one after another, while you do something else.

  1. Under Your scenes, press Batch render.
  2. Pick the scenes to render. They're all picked to start with; click a card to leave it out.
  3. Choose Save as: PNG, JPEG, TIFF or EXR.
  4. Press Render.

Each scene opens with its own size, sky, camera and settings, renders until it reaches its own Stop at, and is saved. A scene set to No limit renders to Clean · Good, so the batch always moves on. When the last one is done, the pictures download together as one zip, numbered in order. A single scene downloads on its own.

Press Stop at any time. Every scene that has already finished is still downloaded.

Batch renders are part of Auddomate Pro.

Take a scene anywhere

Saved scenes live in this browser, on this computer. To keep a copy, or to carry on somewhere else, choose Download from a scene's ⋯ menu. You'll get one .auddomate file with everything inside, including your model and HDRI.

To open it, press Open file under Your scenes, or simply drop the file onto the render. It's added to your scenes and opens straight away.
