The audit log
A record of who did what in your organisation, kept for two years, filterable and downloadable.
Open Audit log under Organisation. It is visible to owners. Every entry has a time, a person, what they did, what it was done to, and a line of detail: the file name of a plan, the machine added to a fleet, the status a study moved from and to, the role a person was given.
#What is recorded
- Access
- Sign-ins, including failed attempts, sign-ins by code, recovery code or single sign-on (SSO), sign-outs, password and email changes.
- Security
- Two-step verification turned on or off, recovery codes issued, the organisation-wide requirement switched, SSO configured, removed or enforced.
- Team
- Invitations sent, revoked and accepted, roles changed, people removed, the organisation renamed or its mark changed.
- Studies
- Studies created, edited and moved between statuses; plans uploaded, replaced and deleted; the layout edited; fleet lines added, removed, changed and swapped; scenarios; assumptions.
- Library
- Machine profiles created, edited and imported; catalogue models added; telemetry imported or cleared.
- Sharing and export
- Share links created and revoked, each time a share link is opened, and every CSV or study export.
- Account and licence
- Plan changes, payments that failed, a plan set to end or ended, licence key changes, updates applied or rolled back.
Edits that happen continuously — dragging shapes on the layout, nudging a quantity — are recorded once per quarter-hour rather than on every keystroke, so the log stays readable. A share link opening is recorded once an hour per visitor.
#Finding something
Filter by kind of event, by person, by date range, or search for a study reference, a file name or a machine. Download CSV gives you the filtered view, up to five thousand rows, for whoever asked.
#What it is for
Two things. Answering "who changed this and when" without asking round the office; and satisfying the person in procurement or information security who wants to know that an audit trail exists before they approve the tool. Entries cannot be edited or deleted from inside Auddomate. They are removed automatically after two years.
The log records what people do in Auddomate. It does not record what they look at, beyond a share link being opened by someone outside the organisation.
