Accounts and organisations
How people, organisations and studies relate.
#Organisations
Everything belongs to an organisation: studies, clients, plans, machines, telemetry. When you sign up, an organisation is created with you as its owner. When you accept an invitation, you join an existing one instead.
Every query is scoped to your organisation. A study belonging to another organisation is not hidden from you — it is not returned at all, and its URL answers with a 404.
#Roles
- Owner
- Everything a member can do, plus inviting and removing people, changing roles, and renaming the organisation. An organisation always has at least one owner.
- Member
- Create and edit studies, plans, machines, fleets, simulations and telemetry. Print reports. Export data.
#Plans and what they allow
Each plan allows a number of active studies — those not yet marked delivered — and a number of people. Free allows three active studies and one person; Studio twenty-five and one; Team unlimited studies and up to ten people; Enterprise has no limits. A delivered study stays readable and printable forever and does not count. The rail shows how many of your allowance are in use, and Billing under Organisation shows the plan, the card on file and every invoice.
Telemetry import, CSV import and machine profiles of your own are on Studio and above. Inviting people is on Team and above. Nothing is ever locked retroactively: moving to a smaller plan keeps every study open; it only stops new ones above the smaller allowance.
#Renewals, and when a plan ends
Monthly plans renew on the day they started; annual plans a year on, and owners receive an email fourteen days before an annual renewal so nobody is surprised by the charge. If a payment fails, nothing is locked: the card gets retried, owners are told, and a bar across the app says so until it clears. A plan that has been cancelled keeps working until the end of what was paid for, the Billing page shows the date, and the same bar counts it down for owners.
After a plan ends the organisation is on Free. Nothing is deleted. Every study, plan, fleet and report stays readable and printable. What changes is the allowance: with more active studies than Free permits, starting a new one asks for a plan first. Choosing one from Billing switches everything back on at once.
#Statuses
A study is in one of four states, set from its edit page: draft, modelling, review and delivered. They are for tracking, not gates — nothing is locked by status.
