Questions
Is there a free alternative to V-Ray?
For objects and products, Auddomate Render is free and runs in the browser. V-Ray starts at $540 a year and does far more for architecture and production: node materials, render elements, light mixing, and distributed and cloud rendering.
Can I bring V-Ray scenes into Auddomate Render?
Your models, yes, through glTF or GLB, or in one click with the Send to Auddomate Render plugin for 3ds Max. V-Ray materials can't be exported by 3ds Max, so the plugin sends each one in its base color, keeps its name, and you finish it in the material editor.
