Questions
Are both renderers spectral?
Yes. In both, light is carried as real wavelengths rather than three numbers. Octane adds a full node material system, hair, volumes and displacement, and scales across several graphics cards and network nodes.
What does Auddomate Render offer that Octane doesn't?
It's free to render with, runs in a browser tab on any recent graphics card, and ships 37 checks against pbrt-v4 that you can run yourself. Octane starts at €19.99 a month, billed yearly.
